I’m finding the silver lining in being self made once again.
Before I faced myself and my fears, I would kind of complain about it. It was disguised as me being overly independent. I didn’t feel like I was heard enough.
As I’ve gotten older, I realized how much of a gimmick everything is. It brings me to realizing that I am extremely grateful I stayed independent.
My accomplishments wouldn’t be my own had I signed with a publisher. It would be my accomplishments through the publisher and that is not the same thing. If you’ve gone that route – I think it’s amazing. But nothing compares to owning all the rights to your work and not being someone’s puppet.
That is something I have always grieved about – signing your creative rights away.

They’re meant for independently published writers. Nothing has changed. The watermark in my videos proves ABY animated them, and that’s it.
I’ve known a handful of in the publishing and entertainment industry and they all say the same thing – stay independent as much as you can. I am so grateful to be taking this route.
This is a new beginning and I will be taking my time so I can sniff all the flowers, and admire the view.
