Quality Over Quantity

What quality do you value most in a friend?

As I’ve gotten older – I value outright honesty and integrity.

I had a bout with someone recently because they lied – they kept suggesting we’d be friends. I can’t make out their entire motive, but they were trying to attach themselves to me. When I ousted them…instead of admitting they lied – it was a show to cover their actions. Stalking account, typing out paragraph length explanations. Not apologizing for lying though.

No matter how successful someone is, we all still bleed the same. Yes, I am accomplished. I still cry, laugh, and feel many things as well.

I’m also helpful, however I don’t anticipate that in return. I find a way. So oftentimes, people like becoming my friend because they feel they can use my resources until I’m bled dry. If I’m already helping you…why abuse that?

Everything is a show now. People are always trying to use others, and honestly it’s really sad. If you can’t be honest and have good intent, maybe don’t bother?

Honesty and integrity gets you so much further. But also I’ve found I don’t need a lot of friends.

Quality over quantity.
