I heard someone say being incredible is normal, and I couldn’t agree more. Humans seemed to be fascinated with pretending that being incredible is rare, and odd.
Yet, we live on a floating rock, hurdling through space in time at light speed.
Last year, a handful of people decided to try becoming friends with me. I welcomed the idea until I couldn’t take it anymore. They were surprised I wasn’t bogged down by normal humanness.
It was interesting – the situations were either comparisons, out right jealousy, or trying to unravel who I was, so they could get a peek inside. I felt that since all that I do is totally normal, there isn’t a reason for anyone to question how I am capable – or furthermore, continuously ask where I find the time.
You will always be how much you limit yourself. If you say something is hard, then it will always be. It isn’t to say something can’t be hard – but constantly saying it is literally gets you nowhere.
Whereas, you tackle things without a thought…simply because you can’t help it.
When I finally heard this individual say -“being incredible is normal,” I had another answer to my puzzle, of course. You accomplish what you feel that you can. People don’t like hearing this, and trust that the further you go, the harder things become. But it is rewarding to be accomplished. Not so much for any gain, but that you took it on and finished.
So the next time you hear how talented someone is, remember that to them…it’s probably normal.
