Do you think everything happens for a reason?
Is this discussed enough?
It was drilled into my head as a child.
One thing, however, was not.
When good things happen, someone caused it. A ripple effect occurs. It was easy for them.
When bad things happen…someone caused it. Except – it wasn’t easy. And in fact, that also causes a ripple effect.
Both events do affect people. One is used to spread joy. The other to spread fear.
I live in Colorado. Wildfires happen due to extreme temperatures, and human neglect. I don’t believe in accidents. Everything we do is with purpose. When harm occurs, we love slinging that word around.
“I accidentally didn’t properly put my cigarette out, and the next thing I know, the forest was on fire.”
Nonsense, absolute nonsense.
I think accountability can change our perception on the reason things happen. We don’t discuss that enough. You can’t accidentally start a war or slice off a limb.
Psychologists have found that it takes more effort o be cruel than it does to be kind – I will never forget that.
Just the same…I do not further acknowledge appropriated madness. I see it, and I let it go. Things happen when you do that as well. Peace, understanding, and the ability to move on.
A lot get stuck on fear based ideology that’s been drilled into us. Forgetting that the many forest fires we see were started on purpose. For reaction. To spread fear. To control.
When we fully come to terms with that…
The less fires will be started.
