My obsession with Liliana is taking shape – I have started a new illustration that was widely received on social media.
I like the darker bits of my work, even though The Fray is very dark already.
The importance of this character is obvious – she is a force to be reckoned with. The women hate her, and the men want to dethrone her. She is confused by anything else other than passion and love. Liliana simply wants to exist.
My relationship with my villains is derived from personal experience. Someone or an event that shaped me into who I am today. Liliana is a catalyst, and she’s not well liked for it.
We’re on the topic of magic within The Fray, and it isn’t explained further than what you can in today’s society. There is the veil – then there is anomalies. Individuals enjoy being in control, and Liliana goes against that.
Except she always ends up under someone’s thumb.
It’s a great touch to my book series, and in time I may share another preview featuring Liliana, the Ether elf..
Below is a rough draft of her likeness – edits have already been made. I will share them soon!
