There were small things that occurred, and I kept going -“maybe that’s why this person lied.”
You know – a little recognition and people want to be your friend. They see your follower account and assume you have some magic recipe. I still worry if I’m doing enough.
I do recall all that I do, so I’m not confused when I land somewhere.
Yesterday was exceptional – I am only sharing two major reasons. The third reason is for safe keeping.
ABY has featured The Fray on their highlights on Instagram – as an animated book. It belongs there. I do not know when the next episode releases, it looks like next month. Also, I was featured on ABYlibrary’s story as well. That definitely made my day! (Of course I have screen shots!)
A few hours after that, I received a notification from Instagram that was utterly life changing. But as mentioned, I am not sharing that information for a while. It’s good to see I made the right moves this time around.
It’s a shame when others can see the direction you’re headed in and the only thing they can think to do is try to use you. I have never blocked so many random people in my life. From potential romantic partners to people wanting to be my friend. It was insane!
I don’t think there is anything cool about it, it was extremely nerve racking! Making friends as an adult shouldn’t be this difficult. Unfortunately, it is.
Another note I’d like to make is about Instagram and Meta in general. The age of needing hundred of thousands of followers is over – they don’t care. Not the way they used to. If your account pulls numbers and practices common sense methods, Instagram will love you. Do not think you need to have a million followers to be successful. Most of the content creators on Meta have been either losing followers, having their accounts closed…or just do the same thing all the time.
Meta has very openly addressed people taking clips from others reels and speaking over it just for views. Meta mentioned if it’s caught – your reel won’t be pushed to new audiences. A lot of people have seen significant losses to their accounts because things needed to change. There are some great smaller account who do incredible work and never get seen.
