Usually, when things are widely successful, someone cut some corners. Except the cookie cutter books are all too revealing now. Similar title formats, book jacket art and proses are a dead giveaway.
I can do you one more – everyone is lazy and wants access to fame and fortune without doing the hard work.
These allegations are not originally from my lips. But if you did the research, you’d have to laugh as well.
Major names have been called, and to keep the identity safe for the whistle blower, I’m not dropping any titles.
Most self published writers will see on average, 100-300 book sales (or reads). Which is fine, because honestly no one has to read it. If you see someone suggesting they’ve sold 2,000 copies in a short amount of time, they’re probably lying :/. Authors under major publishers typically pull those numbers. Factor in notoriety, and if they’ve made it to Amazons best sellers list as well. And by that, I mean #10 and under.
Stop giving into people on social media. Most of them are lying. They form cliques to get reads, and go after “enemies.” It’s all grandeur delusion. Everyone is writing a book now. Everyone is still chasing the high of being like Stephenie Meyer, E.L. James or J.K. Rowling. So no one is actually creating anything worth while.
Ever since Instagram changed things around, the internet tanked and all of the bs went with it. That was the purpose behind it. Normal views range from 100-750 per video. When a reel does exceptionally well, it is not fan based. It is ad based.
We’ve talked about this on my blog as well. Ads do wonders for when you need them most. But a lot of content creators abused it, and Instagram especially, is still cleaning up that mess.
The psychological damage is present, but also as adults – a choice. I’ve always never fully believed anything I’d seen, and usually I’m right.
Building your own brand doesn’t involve other people who can barely form a proper sentence. People copy off of one another like it’s nothing. I think it’s called destiny swapping 🤔
