We’re all rubbing our eyes in disbelief over the animated version of The Fray.
And there are various reasons, so let’s walk through some truths about it.
No – this is not an AI generated novel. I wrote the book(s), without help from ChatGPT, and edited four versions before publishing. Extensive research was necessary and still is, as I am still writing for this series.
All art, character designs, and landscapes were already in the novel. Claude Design is being used (yes I was aware) alongside other animation processes. It isn’t 100% AI. AI has been used for a very long time for animation, by the way. It’s “evolved” as time has gone on. I am not a fan of people taking one pic of themselves, and creating entire online profiles for likes and views. Please don’t confuse the two.
Next – the novel was read by a team before they even decided to produce The Fray. There have been things that were adapted and not used for various reasons, and I knew that was going to happen.
Lastly, I am more than appreciative because of the efforts that have gone into creating the world from my book.
I was sizing up the work and efforts today, and have been for a while. They nailed the majority of the characters so far, and the manor. The woods. The willows. All of it has been captured fairly well.
I am excited about Mateo Cervantez and Isabella Montage’s reveal. These are darker, misunderstood characters, and helped carry the story. I’m also very giddy about Monica Ramos as well. But in due time!
