Key points –
⢠The Fray is a self published work
⢠Most self published authors are lucky to have 250+ reads or purchases
⢠JCS works alone, so the traction she has gained is astronomical
⢠This is a Afro-Latina Dark Fantasy based series
⢠This book has garnered a loyal gathering of readers, so it is necessary to update progress
⢠JCS seeks to encourage others who write – nearly 30k reads without a publishing house is incredible
First and foremost – this is really difficult. I donāt know where things will land. I do have a plan, and Iām sticking to it.
Most self published authors sell 250 books or less. They are less likely to reach tens of thousands of reads. That should never stop you! Write because you love to do so.
You have to have a plan and be prepared to fail! You should also take your time, and understand that one method that works for one may not pan out for another.
With that being said, it has taken me a very long time to get to where I am!
š„The Frayš„ is closing in on 30k reads, sitting well over 28k at the moment! This is a major milestone for me, and I am so proud of myself.

I want to say – donāt let a monetary experience control the outcome and quality of your art. Please create to create. Have fun with it – and continue having fun with it. I love thinking back on my books because I enjoyed every bit of writing them!
Donāt let fame and being popular drive your work either! If you do make itā¦youāll be too tired to enjoy yourself! Insteadā¦write to encourage others. Itās so much better.
One more bit – donāt let what other people think change how you feel about your work. There are so many things that are fake and used to deter true talent and creation. If someone is saying itās not enough or it isnāt good – they are projecting how they feel about themselves.

When more updates become available, I will of course let everyone know! Thank you so much for your ongoing support!
