Before I started diving into the program, I did research and my own guesstimates. The reason being for the latter was to make sure I understood which direction this was going to go. I’ve been doing this for a little over a month.
Before I launch my attack, Amazon Vine’s system is algorithm based. If you order junk, you will be shown junk.
Perception is everything. I knew going in that if I took time to look through and pick items I wanted, eventually, the algorithm would work in my favor. No more than three days after I started, incredible items were available. Shoes, handbags, and jewelry. 18k plated stainless steel, genuine leather, high end pearls. And in a lot of cases, from brands I’d seen before on Amazon.
Sixty Percent of Sellers on Amazon are Small Business Owners
Someone remarked that there were brands she couldn’t pronounce, and that the items were “junk, and not high end or expensive.”
I’m sorry you’re a puppet. Typical high end items are sold to people who believe the hype. Some wealthy families have their clothes made for them 🙃 so to suggest that Loui Vuitton should be free is laughable. My argument is that you haven’t done any research or have any common sense.
A sensible, well made genuine leather handbag…with no inscriptions or brands…
Is so much better than what the average human being believes will make their life better. Aside from Amazon Vine, tackling life like this will show you there’s more to it than your ego, and what you think may make you happy.
Her next complaint was most of it would end up in the landfill. I wanna know what in gods name did she ordered!
She said she was attempting to reach Gold Tier. I’m nine items/reviews away. It is in your best interest to review as much as you can, and to order what you know you’ll love. Most high end company use mixed metals for their jewelry (I have owned several pieces, included an Hermes bracelet that eventually loosened up and wouldn’t stay latched!) So when a company offers 18k gold plated stainless steel, you’re getting the same thing. Firstly, a special coating is used to help against tarnish.
Secondly, gold wears off because of time, not use. Which means your pieces will last you. Between the tarnish free coating and the gold used, you’re getting nice pieces (for free, might I add).
Lastly, why do you want to look like everyone else? As an example, silk is such a high commodity item, most fashion houses use it sparingly. Which means your garments are going to be high grade plastic. You’re welcome.
If you want to succeed within Amazon Vine, you have to be realistic, content, and professional. I won’t say much on this next topic. But putting a dress over a pair of jeans and a shirt doesn’t help me in anyway. And yet the review was posted!
Keep Track of Your Orders
The running goal is to review 60% of your orders. It used to be 80%, which was still kind. In my mind, take pics and post reviews as soon as possible. I use my Snapchat to help fuel everything I’m doing, so pics and videos go up immediately, especially when it’s something I’ve wanted.
With that, I post the videos everywhere. And now I have the content I need for my review. I take four days out of the week to write up five reviews each one of those days. The reviews guidelines don’t ask for much, but enough that other consumers have an idea. The only way this becomes impossible is if you make it impossible.
I also send family members items. This is a great way for me to give gifts, seeing as how I don’t want to over do it.
This is a great program. There are drawbacks.
Sizing
Sometimes sizing is off. Unless it’s plus size, if you’re curvy, I recommend not bothering.
Shipping
In the beginning, one item was stolen. But I believe Amazon did a poor job of making sure it was secure. In the end, it was a $20 duffle bag the person stole, and not the nicer stuff 😉 (jokes on them)
Reviews Rejected
It’s happened once, and could happen again. Make sure to stay within the guidelines of what they’re looking for!
Overall Experience
This has been amazing! I am so grateful for this opportunity, and will probably do this for a while. It is by random selection, and within that…Amazon is selective about who they select. You’ll be evaluated and if you’re not reaching your potential, you could be booted from the program.
Silver Tier includes $100 worth of items daily, and Gold Tier includes $300 worth of items. You have to review 60% of what you receive, and you have to hold on to items for three months.
If Amazon sees fit, you can be promoted to Gold Tier once you’ve ordered 80 items and reviewed 60% of those items. I recommend this for stay at home mothers! There are tons of great finds.
