Hard To Explain

What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?

To put simply, and not give too much away – patience.

There is something coming, and it’s great. But it will require everything from me, just about. I am ready, but the moment isn’t here. So I have to wait.

Waiting can be hard. So I’ve decided to have fun. How well that’ll play off depends on how unserious I’m willing to be with myself…literally reminding myself to relax seems stressful.

I do plan on attempting to have as many good times as possible.

Let’s see how I do!

March will be a little slow. I have a few things to mail off but I don’t have major events planned. If the weather permits, I may go to my favorite coffee shop. I have a song I am rehearsing, and another which is a collaboration with my s/o that I need to finish so he can do his part.

In April, I’m going to visit the Colorado Symphony for a show. This is shortly before my birthday. The weather is perfect, and while I know it can fluctuate, getting outside more will really help my mood as well.

I also have side projects to finish – crocheting and an illustration per request.

After that, spring cleaning! I plan on trying to organize as much as possible. May will be spent cleaning and packing too, for my trip to NC.

It sounds like I have it covered, and I do my best not to waver. I’m excited for what the future holds!

  1. I really felt it when you said, “Patience is my biggest challenge right now.” Waiting for something exciting is like watching cookies bake—you know something good is coming, but staring at the oven doesn’t make it go faster! But I love how you’re finding ways to keep busy while waiting. That’s a smart way to handle it.

Then you said, “There’s something exciting on the horizon, but it’s not happening just yet.” Oh, the suspense! It’s like having a birthday present sitting right in front of you and being told, “Not yet!” It makes the wait both exciting and a little torturous.

But my favorite line was, “Even though waiting is tough, I’m trying to stay positive and enjoy the little moments along the way.” That’s some real wisdom. Life throws a lot of waiting games at us, and if you can enjoy the little stuff while you wait, you’re already winning.

You’re handling this waiting game like a pro. Keep going, keep enjoying those small moments, and before you know it, that exciting thing will be right in front of you.

    1. This was a great comment! The analogy you used near the beginning was spot on – it’s like watching cookies bake.

If I run out of things to keep me busy, I’ll start new projects – maybe illustrate in the park, or working on jewelry. Anything. Waiting is hard, but as I’ve gotten older, I’d rather wait something out than drive myself crazy wishing things would hurry along.

And like cookies or a cake…if not baked properly, they’re either inedible, or the middle caves in!

Better to be honest with myself. Thanks for reading and commenting!
