Lack of Common Sense

What do you complain about the most?

It isn’t so common.

That? And I also complain about people being cruel. Ok – you have a mental disorder, it doesn’t mean you get to be an ass. The funny part about that too, is, they also…want respect!

I feel these two go hand in hand – being kind…and using your head. I complain about it now because it’s easier to be kind…and do the right thing.

  1. Common sense is a strange thing—everyone assumes they have it, yet the world keeps proving otherwise. Maybe it was never truly “common” to begin with, just a mix of awareness, patience, and not making the same mistake twice.

And kindness? It’s funny how some people expect respect but forget to give it. Like waiting for an echo without saying a word first. Maybe respect isn’t something we demand; it’s something we create in the way we treat others.

Your thoughts made me reflect (and maybe sigh a little at the world). If only good judgment came with a user manual.

    Great post!

    1. “Waiting for an echo without saying a word first.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Expectant but withholding is absolute madness, and it always will be.

With that being said, you have to want to treat others poorly, which again is mind boggling! Forcing anything never did much for either party involved. But I’d rather be robbed, than the person thinking being a thief is truly rewarding.

When I was in grade school, all highly gifted and taught classes taught me was that intelligence could also be used against others. Is it then intellect if I wield it?

It all starts within us – despite upbringing, as accountability “should” run its course…

      And thanks for reading!
