Write about your first name: its meaning, significance, etymology, etc.
When I first wanted to learn about my name, my mother scolded me about its meaning. That’s how my life was growing up – clearly being significant and being shamed as well.
I had come to love my name, because after realizing how cruel adults were around me, I didn’t want anything to do with it.
Firstly, Jasmine is a moon flower. Many people from Eastern Asia exclaim when they hear my name -“your name is a favorite fragrance!” I know, I say.
“It’s Persian! It suits you!”
Jasmine means, “gift of god,” and this flower blooms at night. I imagine walking a menagerie in the evening, and smelling the sweet, gorgeous fragrance as flowers slowly bloom around me.
Since I have learned to love my name, and found true meaning in my life, it makes more sense. I have dedicated a song titled Moon Flower to myself, which will release in April of this year.
It is wholesome to love yourself, don’t let anyone tell you any different.

Amen, I agree, and your name is beautiful.
