What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?
Recently, I’ve discovered more truths about the USAs food system. It was clearly created to keep people low vibrating.
However, I have seldom been a fan of fast food, and over processed foods.
One huge reason is because I have lupus. My second reason is to avoid diabetes or even pre-diabetes, and I have managed both. Lastly, because I prefer things to be simple…I make some of my foods to avoid discomfort.
Water is always key to whatever strategy it may seem I have. That, and fruits and vegetables- daily and all day long. Next to that, no processed sugars, I even use honey in my coffee. Following that, I am aware of what helps inflammation – lupus is stress triggered, and fluid retention is a nightmare. This can cause fluid to increase around the heart and lungs.
So, I cook with turmeric often, I drink ginger tonic daily, and I also ingest lavender tea at night. Sleep is important to my health. All of the above mentioned help remove toxins from my body.
With this there is also exercise – not to be “cute.” To be alive. I walk everywhere, or I take the bus. I use Uber on occasion. I have a valid license…I prefer not sitting in traffic.
I eliminate stress in my life. “No new people.” And if the olds ones begin to act up, I do not hesitate. My peace and my contentment are valuable to me.
Other activities that help with my health include reading, listening to music, taking in nature, using a diffuser (nightly) and I take extravagant baths often, as lavender oil and jasmine oil also help remove toxins.
This is normal to me and may seem extra to someone else. Yet, I find that if I’m not doing this, which is quite enjoyable…I would be miserable.
Lastly, and this is most important – I bless my mornings right as I wake, and I bless my evenings before I close my eyes.

Being grateful sounds like a good strategy for appreciating what we have and for keeping ourselves mentally strong.
