What notable things happened today?

The most notable thing that happened today, is that I woke up and heard, “good morning mom.”

Faithfully, everyday, my boys say this. Without want, no ulterior motive. Just absolute necessity. Then they clamor into my bed and tell me about their dreams, and giggle.

That is fairly notable. And waking up. Also notable.

I know it seems simpler than previous answers to these prompts. But I cannot imagine not hearing them say this every morning.

Eventually, they’ll be teens and say good morning grudgingly. Almost as if when it’s said, I am to be silenced. I should know, I was once a teen!

I adore the simple things in life, because together…they make up a whole. While some may disagree or argue that notability be given to men, rather than my younger children…

Reminding my boys that their kindness makes them great…is probably far more notable than trying to run the world.
