Are you a leader or a follower?
By design, I come first. I am an Aries.
However, I am often coy and indecisive, like a Taurus or Pisces. Namely, I am on the Aries/Taurus cusp, Taurus leading. This cusp is known as The Cusp of Power.
Taurus is steadfast and slow, but will finish the task. They enjoy luxury, and comfort. Their stubborn attitude allows them to accomplish anything – because it has to be done.
Combined with hot headed, let’s go Aries…the world melts away. Competition is with one’s self. The impossible is then completed. You don’t even consider who, what or if.
I break away from cycles, groups and fads. When I first started my career, everyone else was writing too. But people were in cliques rather than support groups, and it seemed like high school had started all over again.
I worked alone. My first website garnered tens of thousands of views within a few months. I shared other authors works, for free because I had such good reach. I kept to myself.
It worked for me, and I have no regrets. I’m what you call an alpha female. I don’t parade around saying so, it’s usually just seen.
The same goes with my fashion choices, even my make up and accessories. I do not follow trends, nor do I spend my money on high end pointlessness. For starters, I sew, crochet and make jewelry. To second that, I learned how to do my own nails (manis and false nails as well) and hair at the age of 15. And lastly, I hate looking like everyone else. That’s boring.
What I will say is, it’s apart of my personality and not within the efforts to belittle others. I often encourage people to be themselves and love themselves. The world may not do so…you have to.
I think followers, betas, have a purpose as well. The world needs people who can’t help but to be soft and gentle…the world needs people who will listen and love unconditionally.
The strongest thing you can do is love without cause or reason – a beta trait I admire. It took me a while to understand that, but it’s a beautiful thing.
The world needs both leaders and followers. It’s called balance.
