Access to money has everyone believing you need it to make life beautiful.
The trees and flowers themselves don’t have a currency…
I enjoy creating and making things beautiful in my own way. Money is great, but it’s just a tool. Contentment takes you so much further.
Everyone desires the latest trends…I want to finish my scarf I am crocheting. People buy what they think they need…I prefer to make it. No matter what it is.
Except for shoes. I don’t have a shoe press.
While I love fashion, shopping, and owning nice things, I will never let it rule me. I don’t want to be surrounded by inanimate objects that are really only meant to be pretty.
My boyfriend and I were hanging out last night, and he says, “you know I’m not rich?”
I responded with, “I dumped a billionare.”
He raised his eyebrows, “with a B?” He paused to gather his response, “regardless, I will always take care of you.”
I know.
He works really hard, does what he’s supposed to do and takes care of his kids. I don’t need rich. I need consistency, effort and generosity. You don’t have to be rich to have those qualities.
He’s always surprising me with gifts, and has helped me in more ways than one. Without me asking.
But I’m not seeking riches.
I’m seeking love.
