Hello, October.
Now begins the slow toil of decay. Unimaginable hues of reds, oranges and yellows will replace the calm cool greens that are on display. I look forward to the chill, and the desire to be warm. This October means so much more than I could ever have fathomed. The first peaking yellow leaf, or the delightful crunch will definitely send my senses soaring…
My wardrobe will go from eccentric to cozy. A mesh of creams and browns to add to my subdued moods. The in between, ever faithful vampire queen (castle included) will also make a debut. And vanilla…to wither the senses.
Pumpkin spice is to be consumed. In a sardonic manner. Like breads, muffins. Normal consumption.
And then there’s the tranquil, still of night. The temperature dulls the idea of needing to implore. Yet, rather. The need to stay warm. Brisk morning walks replace sweat. The moon speaks loudly during autumn.
And then snow will show its face. Crystalline, cold. Purposeful. Quiet.
I am in anticipation of the calm, slow pace. Something – someone…is coming.
