Reading Through Everything

My content isn’t for everyone, I’m used to people not even realizing what I do!

What tickles me is when someone likes a post that contains a link. It’s obviously a link, and they choose each and every time to click like.

This is how a lot of us live our lives. We know that if we click the link…we’ll be more informed. Instead, we decide our half shot efforts will simply just have to do. And really, it has never served a greater good to be that way. But, a lot of us seem to be stuck in that stage.

Let me offer you reasons to your misery, and why it’s no one else’s fault but your own.

If you click or don’t click the link, it’s fine. However, clicking the link may open up a door (in this case, your mind) and what’s more, may even plant a seed in that dark space. Not doing so doesn’t mean you’ll blow up instantaneously, but it suggests you’re fine with never trying something new.

This behavior is associated with depression. And prescriptions (and therapy) will only do so much. You are the master of your own soul. If you choose to be comfortable…that includes wallowing in your mess, and ultimately being comfortable with that as well.

Since it’s harder to be cruel to yourself or others, being kind really isn’t that hard. Yes, repetitive and destructive behavior means you’re bullying yourself. Scaring yourself, essentially. And you miss out.

Instead, we should ask how bad could it be? Even better – nothing is wrong. Healing parts of yourself include accepting your lack – for any area that may be. And landing on why – catching yourself at moments and seeing what it is you’re doing. Or what triggered your behavior, presently.

What is for certain is that healing cannot happen over night. But it won’t take you a lifetime when you pinpoint exactly what your issue is. It can take a decade…or three years. It’s really up to you to decide.

So, the next time you see a link, an article…anything that requires further effort…you may end up thanking me that you read further.
