What was the best compliment you’ve received?
What’s the difference?
Smart would be learned knowledge. Or, being clever even.
Intelligence is from within. How you process information, how you use it in your day to day, how you store it, and how you treat people.
It is easier to be kind than cruel. You have to think of ways to hurt someone – kindness happens, and has a lasting impact.
You’ll say that being emotionally intelligent is different from what I assume you feel is actual intelligence. How you receive and process anything is your intelligence. It is your higher self, moving your meat suit, from within.
The less connected you are, the more common it is for you to be cruel, arrogant, and selfish. Slap on all the other terrible things we focus on not being into that short list as well.
But I was shocked at the compliment, as it came from someone twice my age at the time. It was endearing, he meant what he said. There was no motive behind it – he felt he was simply stating the truth.
I enjoy being how I am, and I love the I’ve fully accepted this as well.
