I Would Only Visit

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and have found no reason to move. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

Denver, and the whole of Colorado is beautiful. There was a mass exodus of people in my age group moving to bigger cities because Denver, at that time, was considered slow. Slow is safe. Slow allows you to live your life in peace.

Bigger cities tend to be more expensive, and I enjoyed being so close to nature. The mountains, snow, weather and hospitality are some of the reasons I haven’t moved. And, the historic neighborhoods here, especially near the capital building and along the stretch of Lincoln Ave from Colfax to I-25 made me realize my perceptions of this wonderful place are different from others. And I’m ok with that.

There are a handful of places I’d love to visit. Alaska, Japan, Mexico, Italy, and France are among some of them. All for different reasons.

Alaska – I’d love to take a whale watching tour…and see the Northern Lights. Mexico? There are libraries and massive bookstores throughout, the scenery is amazing and the houses are unique. Japan hosts the Sanrio hotel, and the Godzilla hotel (more so for my significant other!)

I cannot wait to start traveling, which will be pretty soon! I’m just not sure where I’d go first.

  1. My son lived in Colorado for ten years, and I loved visiting him there. I would live there if my grandchildren and sisters weren’t in Illinois.

    1. My significant other is moving out here to be with me, soon. He came to visit and instantly fell in love.
