Recently, I came across a company who uses two boats and a large net to scoop trash out of areas of the ocean. They then insure the trash is recycled or incinerated properly.
Check out @theoceancleanup on Instagram. It was an instant follow from me.
Next up is @sambentley. His page is dedicated to Earth conservation, and people who are putting their best foot forward to do so. He replies to most comments, and has a channel for his page, where he shares details of his recent posts or further information. He is genuinely a good human being all around.
I don’t like hearing about how bad things are because it’s a way to spread fear. What if we spoke about everyone’s efforts?
There are eight countries now who incinerate their trash and use it for energy. These are the countries included: Singapore, Japan, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden and Denmark. The UK is included, as it just started this program.
It isn’t hard, it’s a choice. The USA needs to copy these methods and stop making excuses for their poor behavior. There is never a reason to let waste build up so much except to harm the people around it, and the environment…on purpose.
So I love hearing how countries and American citizens take strides to help this world. I hope this plants a seed.

Nicee, heard about the ocean cleanup once, they are amazing. I agree countries should take waste management more serious

One day I said to myself…”how hard would it be to take two boats and a massive net and clean up trash daily or weekly?” Haha I’m glad my question was answered. It’s so good to see it!
And I agree, more countries need to take this waste issue seriously!
