Well Learned

What positive emotion do you feel most often?

Despite everything I’ve been through, I have managed to be grateful for tidbits I learned through my life.

Instead of fight or flight, when things got rough for me…I always went over what I had to get me through…and what I could do improve my situation.

If you look at people who’ve been through absolute hell, and wonder how could they still be smiling, it’s more than likely their mindset.

I knew it was going to get better, I just didn’t know how. The further along I went, the more everything did get better.

But I practiced gratitude, because more things and money actually don’t fix the majority of our problems. Our lives are lived in our minds, we only output about 1-10% of what’s really going on in our head.

Imagine putting out 35% or more simply by not only being grateful, but looking on the brighter side of things. Imagine knowing you’ll be ok, and looking back later, realizing you were correct.

This isn’t to say I never worried – this was my method to work through problems I caused myself, really.

Gratitude takes you much further than happiness; happiness is fleeting. Gratefulness builds upon itself, healing wounds…opening doors. Shedding light. The more grateful you are, the higher you vibrate. We ascend to be free though, not to gain more.

I am grateful for all I am and can do. I remind myself about this everyday, because there is always someone or something trying to get in the way of that.

In my youth, I didn’t understand the meaning. Once I had everything taken away from me, I realized why gratitude is important over most things.

It takes you down a rabbit hole, though. You’re looking at your closet, at your make up, what you own. And you realize you may even have more than you actually need. Doing this always led me to giving things away.

Not to gain prestige, simply to brighten someone else’s day.

Gratefulness reminds you that when it appears you have nothing to eat, cooking what you have and going “what was I thinking,” goes a long way.

The more you are aware, the more you’re able to do.

That’s my primary reason.

It elevated my healing. I began seeing my folly and faults, and I had to laugh at myself. Then I began cultivating what I learned, own and felt by using these in my day to day. What helps me helps everyone else.

Existence is too beautiful not to admire. Everything in it.
