Recently, there was a discussion on releasing my music through DistroKid, and if it is totally worth it.
As an example, if you listen to anything on Spotify, you should know that most recording artists get the short end of the stick. As much as everything has changed, I am not out for profit.
So, for the release of Unholy, in October of this year, it will only be available for subscribers to my website. I will be changing the format in September or October. And I will be charging for that subscription.
If people pay to listen, great. If not, great. My goal is to publish my art, not become rich or famous. I also do not want to keep putting money into the pockets of people who don’t mind robbing others.
There is a likelihood all of my music will be viewed privately, considering that I own the rights to my work. I also enjoy using my music on videos that I make for my handful of social media accounts. The only person that I ask permission from is myself, so I don’t see a need.
Art is pure and shouldn’t be used for profit. But I’m a different species when it comes to those thoughts and topics surrounding the nature of existence.
I hope some will join me on this journey.
Here is a preview of Unholy
