Describe your dream chocolate bar.
While I was growing up, I was told my picky and precise behavior would change.
It hasn’t, and in fact has kept me safe and alive!
However much people say they love dark chocolate, I feel it is delicious…but nothing compares to milk chocolate for me.
It’s creamy, rich and smooth, if done correctly. I prefer chocolate done right, so believe or not, I’m not a huge fan of Hersheys.
I’m talking about chocolate from a place known as Sees Candies, here in Denver. Godiva is good, Ghirardelli is alright…
Sees is where it’s at. I once got in trouble for sneaking one of their chocolate lacquer suckers into classes. I swallowed it whole, on accident. It was painful, and for a while, I wasn’t sure if I would make it!
Aside from their suckers, which I used to get for fifty cent at one point, their milk chocolate covered English toffee is my all time favorite when it comes to a chocolate bar.
It’s an even balance of salty, slightly sweet toffee, and rich and creamy milk chocolate. You can taste the ingredients as you slowly devour your treat. It’s ultimately something you only need one of, too.
The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is second to Sees, as their milk chocolate covered toffee bars are almost equally as delicious.
Because of the fact the that I have lupus, I have disciplined myself to steer clear of sweets. I occasionally indulge in these treats. Last I had one was in April. And before that, at least a year!
If you ever visit Denver, Colorado, I recommend both Sees Candies and The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!

Definitely have Colorado on the bucket list.

Ooh, nice! I have a question: why do you not like Hershey’s? It it the taste? Or the ingredients in their chocolate?

Honestly, it taste overly done. I’ve had homemade chocolate before and Hershey’s can’t compete! I am very picky, to say the least, as well.
