Technology – Blessing/Curse

How has technology changed your job?

When I first started writing in 2012, I didn’t know where my career would go. It skyrocketed, though. I formed a fan base, and was able to illustrate digitally at the time. That was a learning process I’m grateful for. I use Sketchbook Pro to this day.

I walked away from a movie deal recently because the producer was a creep, but I forged my own path before getting involved with the likes of him. My career goals were obtainable because of technology.

One of my novels made it to #10 in its genre during 2018…that’s not something I feel could have been achieved without these advancements.

Now that I’m older, have obtained a decent net worth and have seen my fair share of success, I still accredit parts of my success to technology.

It isn’t my life though. I often took breaks and deactivated my social media accounts so I could breathe and be myself.

I’ve learned a lot, and I’m fortunate for the exposure and opportunities.

Now, I’m producing my own music, without social media, my soon to be released single wouldn’t have nearly 30k views for the preview alone. It’s a blessings and a curse.
