It’s been an interesting month and a half. Designs have been flowing, but I am taking a break from creating as I am saving money at the moment. I will be illustrating, documenting my designs and writing.
So, I’m taking time now to showcase a few new pieces here, as well as posting them on my design page. As of recently, I focused more on comfortable pieces, and accessories. That was a lot of fun.
The running theme for a lot of my clothing is versatility. If, when and where can I use these pieces? Can I mix and match? This way, I’m not over spending attempting to match and keep up with my O.C.D..
My favorites from my recent creations are the t-shirts I used fabric paint on. The saying, “Born Goth,” is in celebration of Black History month. (ah, you got the joke…I think.) I also incorporated my love of the moon and stars. These are also initial hints as to who I really am.
From the short sleeved t-shirt, came a long sleeve t-shirt, and soon, a hoodie for my twin flame. In addition to my love of street fashion, I came across a $6, 100% cotton bucket hat that I adorned with feathers. The story behind that is…I saw a similar bucket hat for $30, but it was sold out. I think the cotton used to create it is what sold me on that.
I have started, and almost finished the second chapter to the second installment of Stained Waltz (subtitled The Wolves of Danesville) so that will be preoccupying my time, as well as illustrations.
In the meantime, I will spend time archiving my works on my website, either on the design page or in my blogs. I don’t want to exhaust myself, or stuff my closet full of things I may not wear!
