The previews for my Afro-Latina Dark Fantasy novel, The Fray, has hit 1500 reads!
I wanted to publish back in June, but besides the drama that was going on, it didn’t feel right. After much consideration, I have decided to gain as much notoriety and popularity for this piece as possible.
It took me nearly six months to write. Soon, I will be adding more art work. I am also only on the fourth draft because I want to present an amazing novel.
Next to that, I didn’t want to rush to publish. Finding the right audience has been important. In addition to that, I have three other books for this project.
Following a lengthy discussion about my next steps, my significant other agreed that releasing the novel should wait. I will begin writing the second in the fall of this year (which will include more art work). Preview views and reads have been steady, with the exception of my vacation. So I still don’t see a need to jump head on.

With the preview reaching 5k so far, my next goal is 10k…and beyond that. I’d rather build a foundation.
Being at a position I learned myself into has been interesting. I can’t say it doesn’t come with its challenges, but it has been an interesting journey.
