After a massive influx of readers for Deeper, featured from The Fray, I decided to add the chapter back, and tidy up my blog site a bit.
Upon estimating read counts for my own clarification purposes, preview reads are sitting at 300+, barely two months into the new year!
That brings the grand total of preview reads to about 1300+ so far! I first featured previews in late October 2024. It was originally estimated that I would receive 100 or so…a month. So by now, I assumed I would have about 400 reads, which I am okay with!
That is astronomical! If you’ve sold books, or understand reader counts, 100 reads is decent, and anything past that is fairly good. I am beyond myself right! For a book that is still in the manuscript phase, this is excellent news.
I opened Jetpack one day, to 125 views within an hour, with two thirds of those views for The Fray. Pinch me, because that hasn’t slowed much.
I also do not know who’s sharing what – some of my posts have been shared to X (formerly Twitter) and Pinterest.
The traction I was hoping for has gone beyond my expectations, and I am so grateful! I still do not have a publishing date, so for now please enjoy the incredible previews available!
