I am new to alcohol markers, and I am in love. Normal brush tip markers don’t blend the same – this is an entirely new ball game and I’m ready for it. They did make the ink pen run in some areas – but the pen itself was blotchy, unfortunately.
Next, I picked up pastels again and I remembered why I loved them in the first place. It has been over 22 years since I touched the medium. I fell under the category – art won’t sustain you, you’re too dreamy, life is harsh, art means nothing category.
Safe to say I didn’t listen! Nor is any of that true.
I am very excited about introducing a new medium and using an old favorite. I’ll also be painting, which is probably my ultimate favorite out of all I do. Especially acrylics. They’re versatile, cheap and I love how my paintings come out. Looking into metallics, like gold or silver, for other projects…soon.
There won’t be time for me to get too deeply invested, I have a final draft to finish editing!
