Measuring

I originally set a goal in mind for weekly reads, to drum up momentum for my WIP, The Fray.

With that, I surpassed it, times three. Now, in which direction I go determines the longevity of that. It is a lot of work. Some people have already attempted to report my posts, not even as spam, but “false advertising” and “fraudulent.”

Which means I have a fan base 🤗 thank you!

Kidding.

At any rate, this has been a fever dream for me. The only time I put this much effort into promoting my work, was when I first started in 2012. After that, I grew accustomed to just writing, and allowing. Really, I was learning.

Here is a breakdown of how the best sellers list works on Amazon, and why that’s not my goal.

On average, you would want to sell 100 books or more a week to make that mark. In order to reach the top 10, it would have to stay consistent for a month…then increase. Not plateau.

So for the first week, I settled with 25 reads. I am being realistic. No one really reads anymore. Before that week was over, The Fray reached 75 reads, then jumped to 81 reads.

I am ever so gracious, because it’s total strangers. While I am very excited about this project, seeing those numbers early on, with given statistics, my experience and knowledge…

I just want to finish writing and publish my book 😊

This journey, just starting off, has been incredible!

So, here’s the preview for The Fray, which I plan on releasing the summer of 2025.
