My real first name, Jasmine, is originally Persian. Persia covered a vast part of Asia during its time.
Now, most people from South Eastern Asia to, I’d say Saudi Arabia, recognize my name and tell me about it.
Firstly, jasmine is a night flower. I have a song titled Moon Flower, where I envision watching jasmine flowers bloom and set their effervescence at night. It is a popular and valued fragrance.
Second, jasmine rice is popular as well. It’s aromatic when it’s cooked, and taste even better!
Lastly, the name jasmine means, “gift of god.” I can understand the sensationalism around naming a flower such a thing.
But there are also no coincidences as to why it is my name m.
