A waxing crescent is just as important as a full moon.The moon is a guide into what balance means and what it takes.

I did not feel like doing a reading, though I slept well. A Waxing crescent moon can bring that type of energy. But, instead of blowing things off, try harder. Do more…literally go out of your way. The moon is in Virgo, though…and that part can’t be helped.

Virgos are one of the most helpful signs on the zodiac. They feel good to do good. Instead of forcing your help and generosity on unsuspecting individuals, help yourself first (a common ignored notion for Virgos). This is also a good time to buy a new houseplant, start new research (not to use against someone you may dislike!) Or, tend well to your garden by removing weeds, and cutting back growth so new stems and leaves can grow.

The next full moon occurs June 21st, at 7:06 pm MST. This is during the first full day of summer, so I’m reminding you to prepare your solstice rituals. My partner and I collect items from nature (seeds, pine cones, fruit, leaves, etc) Even dried tea leaves like rose hip or lavender are a great addition for this. Spirals are about continuous and renewal. That life is ever evolving. So incorporate a spiral for your altar.

Altars can be made simple, or be luxurious. It all depends on you. Magic doesn’t require you to spend thousands of dollars…that’s why it exists. For example, I have an old tea cup, a mid size plate (both are black) and I take it from there. Both items belonged to my deceased grandparents. It is easy to lay my flowers, and gemstones in and around this arrangement, and it’s easy to store. 

During the solstice, thank the spirits of Earth, whomever your guardian angel is, and if you know…thank your higher self for the continuation of life. 

Here’s a brief and fun fact! The summer solstice in some parts of the world celebrates Yemaya, aka Mother Earth. She is a Yoruba Orisha, often depicted as a beautiful mermaid. As the story goes, when her water broke, it created the waters below on Earth, and filled them with life. She also had a hand in creating human beings as well.

This week’s reading is amazing! There are a lot of intense vibrations, some of which are on the brink of creating life as we know it.

First, we have Crown Chakra. When you are in alignment, all of your inner chakras will be in sync. The last chakra to do this is the Crown Chakra. All are equally as important…you cannot achieve balance without all of them. While the Third Eye Chakra helps you “see”, the Crown Chakra helps your connection with Source, and helps you balance in totality. What I mean is, you’re now able to transmute with ease, and that energy can be felt. Everything shifts when you’re in balance.

Next we have Synergy. There is nothing like being in sync. The best way to achieve this, actually…is to heal. You can meditate and buy crystals the color of your chakras all you want, if you’re not doing the footwork by healing yourself…you will remain where you are. However, this is indicating that you are. What’s more is, you already knew that, so affirmations like this are still mind blowing…and a gift.

Lastly, we have Allowance. When people practice magic, they want instant results. Time is an illusion, so there isn’t a need to rush anything. Allow room for growth, and you get to take in the scenery as your manifestations make their way back to you. Allowance also reminds us that anything is possible – being impatient means you doubt the outcome.
